About Us


MISSION: The mission of the Sequim Community Orchestra is threefold:
  1. Education in orchestral music and performance for musicians of all ages.
  2. Entertaining and informing our community through orchestral performances.
  3. Supporting strings education for students in Sequim area schools.

The SCO is a charitable organization promoting the teaching and performance of orchestral music. Our Strings Education program holds string classes for Sequim school children and supports music education programs in public schools. Our Orchestra program provides a community orchestra open to beginning and intermediate players of all ages; presents performances and informative programs for the public.

The Sequim Community Orchestra is approved by the IRS as a charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations and other support are welcome and may be tax exempt.

Under the direction of Phil Morgan-Ellis, the group meets weekly in Sequim. SCO performs for the community three timex a year.
